Marketing and pop culture have always been linked. They offer brands more and more ideas to execute in their marketing strategies. There are various lessons to learn from this show and to fall in love with Paris. We have mentioned each lesson in a detailed manner in this article.

Disclaimer: This article will have a lot of references to the show. So, if you haven’t watched the show, make sure you watch it. (You are welcome!)

Lesson No. 1: Social Media Presence Is Vital

Not just your presence but also how you communicate with your fans is essential on social media. When your customers comment on your social media posts, you should take the initiative to engage with them. Like Emily said, “To build a brand, you must create meaningful social media engagements.” It is one of the most crucial marketing lessons from Emily in Paris.

Emily always made sure to advertise the brand on social media and employ hashtags that enabled her brand to gain more grab attention. She uses daily life images to build her brand’s profile. This was why Savoir encountered an upward curve and will continue to do so in the next season ( I am eagerly waiting for it, by the way.)

Lesson: Social media lets you connect with your customers and boost brand recognition, leads, and sales. With the help of social media channels that customers widely use, it is crucial that you can reach your target audience more efficiently. Ensure that they feel that the brand has an individual behind it.

Lesson No. 2: Customer Opinions Matter

You must have witnessed in the show that whenever there was confusion in Emily’s mind, she posted it on Instagram and used Polls to know if their customers liked the idea. Remember when she asked for a poll for the “Sexy or Sexist” perfume brand? She believed that the opinion of the customer counts.

Lesson: Here, value your customers’ emotions. Ensure that you match your product range with what your customers truly want. Then, you will be able to deliver what they exactly like in a manner that works well with their psyche.

Lesson No. 3: Thinking Outside The Box

Emily was creative in her thinking. She got an idea for the entire campaign from an art museum featuring Van Gogh’s, The Starry Night. She was never scared to come out and pitch her thoughts on the table. Even when she didn’t have anything, her creative mind got something unique. Remember how she changed Pierre’s perspective?

Lesson: An essential tool in marketing is creative thinking. This creativity drives originality. Everything is just right around us. It is just you should have the eyes to see the beauty of it and think to relate with your customers and the brand.

Lesson No. 4: Influencer Marketing Will Get You Places

Influencers are the future of marketing and have a lot of significance in this series. We have encountered that Emily is an influencer herself. In fact, she gets an invitation from Duree as an influencer for their brand. She set a tone as an influencer throughout Paris, adding to her value. As a result, it added to the market value of Savoir.

Lesson: Influencer marketing becomes an essential form of social media marketing to generate higher sales. Moreover, it can raise brand awareness by reaching people in one post due to highly prominent followers.

Lesson 5:  User Experience Is The Key

Emily smells the perfume that Antoine gives her and says it smells like poetry. She also says, “your perfume is not how you smell, it’s how you feel.”

Lesson: The user experience for your consumer base makes them resume using your product or ordering more than one from your brand. Open the doors of your brand to your customers. Let them feel and know what kind of a brand you are.

Lesson No. 6: Content Is Important

As Emily stated, “It is not just about followers, it is about content, trust, interest, and engagements.” She even clarifies to her clients at the first party that she checks the content and optimizes it. The reason is that whenever an individual searches for anything related to their product, they can get their brand content with one click.

Lesson: Content is always the Queen and a significant asset. It can create a good experience for your customers and encourage them to come back for you even more. Customers begin to form an impression of your brand when they read your content. If the content they discover is entertaining, educational, and valuable, your customers will engage more with the brand.
